The 5th Circle Template

This exercise uses the Traditional Circle of Support and other Person Centred Planning tools.

Traditional Circle of Support:

• Intimacy: In this area you place your closest family members and other people in your life
• Friendship: In this area you place your friends in this area.
• Participation: In this area you place the people you have a relationship with who you know through participating in activities. (Example: Fred from the Gym, Joe from Football or Sue who works in your local pub)
• Exchange: These are people who are paid to be in your life. (Example: Hairdresser, Milk Man, Social Worker, your Doctor or Optician)

The 5^th Circle, Possibility is where we gather the information from the Treasure Chest activity and Community Mapping to recognise that there is potential to create new relationships within the community.
